This spectacular performance is a wonderful celebration of the Chinese New Year! The UNIPX team is honored to collaborate with CCTV for the 2024 Prelude to Lunar New Year Gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway, and we deeply appreciate the support of all our guests.

Nearly 300 distinguished guests attended the New York special event of the “Prelude to the Spring Festival Gala” hosted by CGTN, including Zhang Jun, China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Huang Ping, Consul General of China in New York; New York City Mayor Eric Adams; Martha Stewart, one of America’s most renowned businesswomen, lifestyle guru, and host of numerous popular programs; Fern Mallis, founder of New York Fashion Week and a fashion icon; Susan Rockefeller, fourth-generation Rockefeller family member; Abigail Posner, Google’s Creative Director; and Tian Pujun, producer, actress, and writer.

The event also featured industry heavyweights such as Monte Lipman, President and Founder of Republic Records, and his wife Angelina Lipman; Philippe Vongerichten, brother of Michelin three-star chef Jean-Georges, and his wife Jenny Vongerichten; Katherine Boulud, wife of Michelin three-star chef Daniel Boulud; Nick Holmsten, Founder and CEO of Times Square’s TSX Entertainment, and his wife Marie Holmsten; Mark Roche, Chief Development Officer of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), and his wife Prudence Cheah; and Melvin Mar, executive producer of the popular Disney series American Born Chinese.

The event was a great success, featuring highlights such as the performance of the classic song “Jasmine Flower” by The Young People’s Chorus of New York City. Guests enthusiastically participated in the CCTV “Dragon Dance Challenge,” expressing Year of the Dragon wishes in various languages. The Honey Taps delivered an energetic performance of “Happy Feet in Gold,” while 11-year-old Yidi Ding showcased his talent with a piano piece titled “Voices of Spring.”

Additionally, American singer N’Kenge dazzled the audience with her performance, and CCTV unveiled the 2024 FW ART & FASHION COLLECTION. Martha Stewart and Fern Mallis joined on the runway, showcasing support for sustainable fashion. The event also featured a touching children’s chorus performance titled “Descendants of the Dragon.”
